Observation. A review of the play space inspection log revealed inspections are not occurring on a daily basis. To ensure the safety of children outdoor play spaces must be inspected daily for potential hazards. Submit by January 13, 2026, how you will ensure outdoor play spaces are inspected as required.

Observation. One employee is missing evidence of compliance with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis program. In the event of disease outbreak a licensee is required to have evidence of employees complying with the Province's program. Submit by January 13, 2026, evidence that the employee record is complete.

Observation. At the time of the inspection there was no evidence that the emergency plan had been practiced by the employees in the last year. Employees are required to practice implementing the emergency plan as least once a year to ensure they can keep the children safe in the event of a real emergency. The manager is required to submit a plan to ensure the emergency plan is practiced and evidence of the practice is records by the follow up date noted.

Observation. The Licensing Officer reviewed employee records and observed incomplete information such as missing evidence of a criminal record check. At the time of inspection, a volunteer's record was also missing evidence of immunization as required under Section 19 (5) of the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Ensure employee and volunteer records are complete. The Licensing Officer observed that March's fire drill was not practiced by the employees. It is a requirement for employees to practice implementing the fire drill system as least once a month to ensure children's safety in the event of a real fire. The manager is required to submit a plan to ensure the fire drill system is practiced monthly by each employee by the follow up date noted.

Observation. A review of staff files indicated responsible adult staff were missing evidence of having have completed a course, or a combination of courses, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition.

Observation. Licensing observed staff ratios not being maintained during a washroom break. Licensing observed children not being supervised during a washroom break.

Observation. Licensing observed the fire drill system was not displayed.

Observation. The name and telephone number of a medical practitioner was missing from a few children's records. The attendance did not accurately reflect the children in care. Licensing observed 18 children in care, the attendance record indicated 19 children in care.

Observation. A thorough daily inspection checklist needs to be created for the outdoor play space. The depth of the protective surfacing needs to be regularly checked. Licensing observed areas where the protective surfacing was worn away and ground was showing through.

Observation. A discussion occurred regarding the requirement that all Educator and Assistant certificates be verified through the ECE registry. Manager's Assistant certificate needs to be verified.

Observation. Emergency plan needs to be practiced once a year. Manager confirmed that it had not been done.

Observation. Medication for two children being stored in their personal backpacks on a shelf with all of the other children's backpacks.

Observation. Staff files were missing information regarding compliance with the provincial immunization schedule. One staff file was missing references.

Observation. Employees talked about practicing the emergency plans, however there were no records of these practices.

Observation. The minor incident log was not able to be found during the inspection. An employee said they spoke to parents about minor incidents but did not record the incidents. The sign in and out sheet did not record the arrival or departure times for each child. Digital images were missing for several individual children's emergency record. The facilities policies were not available to review during the inspection. There were no daily, monthly, or annual inspection logs being completed for the outdoor play spaces.

Observation. A random selection of employee files were checked, several employee files were incomplete. Employees said they had not been practicing the fire drill system at least monthly.
