Fees vary by facility and age group, but most BC families have access to significant provincial subsidies. About 94% of licensed providers participate in the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI), which reduces fees by commonly $350 to $900 per month depending on the child's age. Families at participating $10-a-Day ChildCareBC centres pay a maximum of $200 per month, and lower-income families may also qualify for the Affordable Child Care Benefit on top of those reductions.

Demand for licensed spaces significantly outpaces supply across the province, and major providers report waitlists of 1 to 3 years.
