What we collect

Your account name and email. When you apply to an opening: your child's birthdate and an optional first name, your schedule needs, and what you write to daycares.

What we never collect

Child full names. We ask for the minimum needed to make an application useful.

How it's used

Your information is shown to the daycares you apply or write to. It is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Travel times and your location

When you set a home location, daycare pages can show how long the trip would take on foot, by bike or by car, and draw the route on the map. We work those routes out on our own servers, using a road map we build from public OpenStreetMap data. Your home location does not leave our infrastructure to do it.

There are no exceptions to that. We used to send the two end points to Google for transit directions, and to a public routing service when our own router could not answer. We no longer show transit directions, and there is no longer anything to fall back to, so nothing about where you live is sent anywhere.

The trade is real and we would rather say it than hide it. If a trip is somewhere our road map does not reach, we tell you we cannot draw it rather than asking someone else on your behalf.

If you would rather not share that, don't set a home location: travel times are the only feature that uses it, and every other part of the site works without one. You can clear a location you have already set from your account profile.
