Observation. The hot water was tested and found to be 54.6 degrees Celsius. Water over 49 degrees Celsius poses a scolding risk to children. Submit by September 22, 2025, confirmation that hot water accessible to children is 49 degrees Celsius or less.

Observation. Child records were reviewed, and one child's immunization status was missing. The Licensee is required to have complete and current records for all children. Submit by September 22, 2025, confirmation that all children's records now have the required information.

- C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical
Observation. Licensing reviewed employee records and one was found to be missing evidence of employee's training. Ensure a person is not employed in a community care facility until the required documentation is obtained. One child's record had special instructions written by parents regarding medication administration. This information is posted. However, it was confirmed that the facility employees are not aware of it.

Observation. Licensing observed the following: • Food surfaces are not appropriately cleaned by using soapy water to wash before sanitizing. Ensure food surfaces are appropriately cleaned and sanitized. • There was a hole in the ground surface of the play-ground which may pose a potential risk of fall and tripping. Ensure facility is safe and in good repair.

Observation. Licensing observed that the Children's care plans have insufficient information/details regarding the child's requirement for extra support. Ensure a current care plan is maintained and a record of compliance with care plan is kept for children requiting extra support.

- C3.2 - Are persons qualified and appropriately replaced?Critical
Observation. C3.2C - Regulation 29 - Upon review of staff records a staff was hired and working in ratio as a responsible adult however they did not meet the qualifications of being 19 years of age. The age of the staff is now 19 however please submit a response as to what systems are in place to ensure staff are qualified. A staff currently working does not have responsible adult training. A health and safety plan is required until responsible adult training is obtained.

Observation. C5.2A - Regulation 48 - There is minimal supplemental food available on site and what was observed was expired. The facility nutrition policy states that if needed the facility will provide food as per the Canada Nutrition Guide. Please advise how the nutritional needs of children will be met if they arrive with inadequate or insufficient food.

Observation. C4.1E - Regulation 57(h) - A child record was observed today missing special instruction regarding a potential medical condition. Please identify the system you have implemented to identify and manage any parent information relevant to the child's care.

Observation. C9.1B - Regulation 53 - A child medication form was observed today with noted instructions for specific medication administration days/times however the administration was not documented or signed by staff. Licensing confirmed that the medication was administered as required. Please identify the medication administration procedures and how all staff will be aware.

Observation. C3.1C - Regulation 19 - Two staff files were observed today with incorrect criminal record checks. One of the staff completed their employment last week and the other staff is regularly scheduled. A health and safety plan is required until an accepted criminal record check is obtained.
