  • C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical

Observation. The Licensing Officer observed that the manager's name was not displayed in the facility at the time of inspection. It is required to have the manager's name posted in a prominent place. This was corrected during inspection.

  • C3.2 - Are persons qualified and appropriately replaced?Critical

Observation. There was no verification evidence observed of an educator's certificate through the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Registry. Verification of educators and assistant's certificates, via the ECE Registry, is required. Confirm when the verification is completed.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  • C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

Observation. Facility's emergency plan reflects that the windows are second means of exit in the event of emergencies. However, it was observed during inspection that these windows were not easily accessible. Ensure emergency plan adequately details how Licensee will respond in the event of emergencies including easily accessing emergency exits and exiting the facility if required.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

Observation. Licensing observed the following: • A children's kitchen toy shelf which is not moved from one area to another, was not affixed to the wall. This poses a risk to children if it were to tip over. Ensure facility equipment is safe and free from hazards. • The daily playground check was incomplete. Ensure thorough daily, monthly and annual inspections of the outside play space inspections are performed.

  • C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

Observation. Licensing observed individual same colored towels (not labeled) hanging in the bathroom close to each other. These same towels were used by children throughout the day and not disposed off after each use. Ensure individual hand drying towels are single use and do not come in contact with each other between uses.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

Observation. Licensing reviewed child records and it was observed that records were missing information including the medical insurance plan number. Ensure children's records are complete.
