    Observation. The name of the Manager displayed was incorrect. The Licensee is required to display the name of the Manager in a prominent place. During the inspection the Manager's name was updated.

    Observation. Evidence of the previous fire drills practiced, were not available to be inspected. The Licensee is required to keep records of the monthly fire drills practiced at the facility and make them available upon request. Submit by October 01, 2025, confirmation and evidence that the record of the monthly fire drills practiced are available. Some employee records were stored digitally on the Licensee's data base. Staff were not able to access employee records on the data base, therefore some employee records were not able to be inspected. The Licensee is required to keep employee records at the facility and available upon request. Submit by October 01, 2025, confirmation and evidence that employee records are available at the facility.

    Observation. There is no care plan or documentation of medication administration for two children who occasionally self-administer an asthma inhaler. If a child is approved to self-administer medication there must be a care plan in place, and the employee who supervises the child must document the administration of the medication. Submit by October 01, 2025, confirmation that children who self-administer medication have a care plan.

    Observation. During the inspection, the Licensing Officer identified the following additional contraventions: - It was observed that the manager's name was not displayed in facility. The manager was also not available during the inspection. Licensing regulation requires that the name of the manager is displayed in a prominent place at the facility. Establish a system to ensure ongoing compliance with the Legislation. - A program representative advised that a new facility manager was hired in November, 2024. Licensing was not been notified of this change. Licensing regulation requires an immediate notification of any changes in the information provided in the application. Establish a system to ensure ongoing compliance with the Legislation.

  • C8.2 - Is each child provided a comprehensive and coordinated program of developmentally appropriate activities that encourages physical, intellectual, language, emotional, and social development?Non-critical

    Observation. The complaint information alleges that children are not provided with daily outdoor play periods. - Based on conversations with substitute employees, they stated that children are given the choice to go outside or not. Given this response, the allegation has been substantiated. As per Licensing regulation, children are required to engage in daily outdoor play periods. Review current systems to ensure processes in place are being followed by facility employees. During the inspection, the Licensing Officers identified the following additional contravention: - Licensing Officers observed that there is a small amount of appropriate school age children's material and equipment available for outdoor play. It was also noted that there is no planned programming for outdoor play. Establish a system to ensure children are provided with comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities, materials and equipment that are age and development appropriate. Review current processes in place to ensure daily program planning and implementation.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. The complaint alleges that parents were not immediately notified that a child was injured. - Based on the information gathered from reviewing minor incidents log and conversations with program representative, it has been determined that parents were not notified until pick up time. As per the Licensing regulation, ensure parents or emergency contacts are notified immediately after the child becomes ill or injured. Review current systems to ensure processes in place are being followed by facility employees. The complaint alleges that the employees sign out children prior to parents arriving at the facility which leads to inaccurate attendance records. - Based on the review of attendance records and conversations with employees, there was no evidence found to substantiate the allegation, therefore, the allegation is unable to be substantiated. During the inspection, the Licensing Officers identified the following additional contravention: - The Licensing Officers reviewed minor incidents log and noted that Licensing was not notified of a reportable incident. Ensure Licensing is notified within 24 hours after a child is involved in or may have been involved in a reportable incident. Review current systems to ensure processes in place are being followed by facility employees.
