Observation. - A plywood sheet board placed on top of the stairs that lead to outdoor play space, is not secured. This poses a potential safety hazard as a child stepping or stomping on one end could cause the board to shift, increasing the risk of injury. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by March19, 2026. - The children's toilet is not in clean condition and shows signs of wear and tear. Facility equipment must be clean and in good repair to prevent the spread of illness, reduce safety risks, and support children's hygiene and daily care needs. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by March19, 2026. - The hot water temperature at the bathroom sink measured at 54.8°C. Water temperature exceeding 49°C poses a potential risk of scalding and burns to children. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by March19, 2026. - During mealtime, four children were seated at a small table that appeared to be of inadequate size. Providing adequate equipment for meals supports children's comfort, safe seating and independent participation in eating routines , while reducing the risk of spills, crowding and potential injuries. Observation. The Licensing Officer observed the following repeated contraventions: • Upon reviewing children's records, one was found to be missing information regarding the telephone number of child's medical practitioner or applicable clinic. Ensure children's records are kept current and complete. • Children's daily attendance record was found to be missing a few children's departure time from the program. Ensure daily attendance record indicates the times of arrival and departure. New Contraventions: • Child records were also missing photographs or digital images of children in care. Ensure a photograph or digital image of each child is kept which can be used to readily identify child in emergencies. • During the inspection, the Licensee was unable to find all children's records due to inadequate record keeping systems. Ensure facility records, child records, and care plans are kept in a single place.

Observation. New Contravention: The Licensing Officer observed that information regarding food and drink given to children was not made available to parents during first week of September. Ensure this information is made available to parents.

Observation. - Child records were reviewed and found incomplete. There was no record of two children, who were attending the facility at the time of inspection, indicating their personal information. Ensure children's records are complete. - Children's daily attendance record was found to be missing a few children's departure time from the program. Ensure daily attendance record indicates the times of arrival and departure.

Observation. It was observed that the children were not instructed to wash hands after eating food. This may pose a potential risk of spreading germs and illnesses. Ensure a program is developed to instruct children in practicing the rules of health and hygiene including hand washing.
- C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical
Observation. The following observations were made: - Food surfaces were not appropriately wiped clean and sanitized after each use. This may pose a potential risk of spreading illnesses. Ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided to children at all times. - There were sharp adult knives stored on top of the kitchen counter and accessible to children. Ensure children do not have access to any objects that may be hazardous to the health and safety of children. - The hot water was measured 54°C which may pose a risk of scalding to children. Ensure any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
- C8.2 - Is each child provided a comprehensive and coordinated program of developmentally appropriate activities that encourages physical, intellectual, language, emotional, and social development?Non-critical
Observation. At the time of inspection, it was observed that the children have more than 30 minutes of screen time per day. Ensure screen time is limited to 30 minutes or less per day.

Observation. There were seven children in attendance and of those seven children six children were under 48 months. Licensed family child care is only able to care for four children under 48 months.
