    Observation. - There is no care plan for a child who has additional medical needs. It is the licensee's responsibility to ensure care plans for children with additional medical needs are developed in consultation with the parent to ensure health and safety of the child while in care.   • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

    Observation. - A few shelving units in children's play space are unstable and unsecured. This may pose a potential risk of injuries to children if they were to attempt to climb these shelving units. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by May 15, 2026. - One of the classroom gates intended to prevent children from leaving the room is in poor repair. Maintaining furnishing and equipment in clean and good repair is important to reduce the risk of injury and help ensure facility remains safe and appropriate for children's use.     Observation. It was observed that the food surfaces and the diaper changing surfaces were not disinfected using a sanitizing solution after each use. This may pose a potential risk of spreading illnesses among children. Confirm by 9-Apr-2025 that the compliance has been achieved and maintained.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. - Through a review of child records, it was observed that two children's files were missing their enrollment date. As per Licensing Regulation, each child's record must be kept complete showing their personal information including enrollment date. Confirm by 9-April-2025 that these children's files are complete as per Section 57. - Child records were also missing two children's photographs or digital images. A photograph or digital image of each child must be kept which can be used to readily identify child in emergencies. Confirm by 9-Apr-2025 that these children's files are complete as per Section 57.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

    Observation. The Licensing Officer observed that one employee's file was missing a copy of their training certificate. A person must not be employed until the manager has obtained the required documents. Confirm by 9-April-2025 that this employee's certificate is received as per Section 19.
