    Observation. Facility records indicate the last fire drill practice was in December 2024. Regular fire drill practices are required to ensure staff and children are prepared to respond in case of emergency. Ensure there is a system in place to ensure fire drills are practiced monthly and documented as required by legislation.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

    Observation. Employee records were not on site for 3 employees that were working with children at the time of this inspection. Licensing was informed that due to spring break, employees from other agency sites were assisting to cover shifts. Records are required to verify that employees are appropriately qualified. Ensure employee records are available on site for all employees working with children.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

    Observation. At the time of the inspection, daily inspection logs indicate the last daily inspection occurred on February 11, 2025. There was no monthly or annual inspection record available. Daily play space inspections are required to ensure play spaces are free from hazards and safe for children. Ensure there is a system in place for daily, monthly and annual inspections of the facility as required by legislation.

    Observation. C3.1C - Reg. 19 - A staff was present that did not have a staff file available on site to confirm the character and skill requirements have been met. Staff files are to be complete and on site prior to commencing work at the facility.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. C4.1E - Reg. 57 - A couple child records were observed today missing special instruction from a parent regarding a potential medical event. This instruction should be thorough so any staff is aware of how to identify and respond to the event. C4.1L - Reg. 58 - A staff was present today to provide support a child however there was no current care plan available. Care plans must also be reviewed at least annually and any behavior guidance provided is to be recorded along with its effects.
