    Observation. - A person over the age of 12, who is ordinarily present, has an expired Criminal Record Check since October, 2025. Anyone who is ordinarily present while children are in care must have a valid criminal record check from the Criminal Records Review Program. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by March 9, 2026.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. - A review of minor incidents log identified that a child was involved in a reportable incident in September 2025. This incident was not reported to Licensing as required. It is important that all reportable incidents are submitted within 24 hours to allow Licensing to assess risk and provide guidance as necessary. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by March 9, 2026. - Four children present at the time of inspection are not signed into the facility on the attendance record. Accurate attendance records are vital for ensuring every child is accounted for during emergency evacuation drills and/or during daily transitions. This was corrected during inspection.

  • C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

    Observation. - The children did not wash hands before eating. Hand washing is required to prevent the spread of infection and maintain the health and safety of children in care. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by March 9, 2026.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

    Observation. - A box containing cat litter is accessible to children in care. Having hazardous items within children's reach poses a potential health and safety risk to children. Submit a response with evidence of compliance by March 9, 2026.

    Observation. The Licensing Officer observed incomplete fire drills record. Ensure fire drill system is practiced at least once each month and current record is maintained.

    Observation. The Licensing Officer observed a soiled diaper wrapped in a plastic bag on the washroom floor and there was no covered container available for soiled diapers. Ensure soiled diapers are discarded in a covered container. This was corrected during inspection.
