    Observation. Licensing Officer observed two school-age children in attendance. The licensee stated that these children attend Chinese School at the facility every Monday and Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, and that they are tutored by the licensee in a separate area of the facility away from the registered children. However, during today’s visit, Licensing Officer observed that the two children were not being tutored; instead, they were being cared for alongside the registered children and did not have any registration documents on file.

    Observation. Upon arrival at the facility, Licensing Officer observed 8 children in care, which exceeds the maximum group size permitted for family child care.

    Observation. During the visit, Licensing Officer observed that a child who appeared to be under the age of two was exposed to a screen. The licensee confirmed that the child was under two years old. A cartoon was playing on the television, and the child was observed standing on the couch watching the screen. The licensee was reminded that screen use is not permitted for children under two years of age.

    Observation. During today's visit, Licensing Officer did not observe a log book documenting minor incidents, illnesses, and unexpected events at the facility. This issue of non-compliance remains outstanding.

    Observation. During the inspection, Licensing Officer observed that one staff holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate. However, the licensee does not hold a valid first aid and CPR certificate; therefore, this issue of non-compliance remains outstanding.
