The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

Observation. During today's visit, Licensing Officer observed the issue with the mildew build up on the outdoor equipment has been addressed however the issue with the sand remains in non-compliance.

A record for each child containing the name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(d)]; A record for each child containing the name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(a)]

Observation. During today's visit, Licensing Officer observed the following: -name and telephone number of medical practitioner has been obtained for 2 children however 1 remains outstanding -medical insurance plan number has been obtained for 1 child however 2 remain outstanding -immunization status has been obtained for 1 child

Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

Observation. During today's visit, Licensing Officer observed Criminal Records Checks for 2 staff are in progress.

Observation. In the outdoor play space, Licensing Officer observed the following: -mildew build up on two climbing structures and along the perimeter of the metal fencing which encloses the play space are no longer clean and require attention -sand in the sand box appears to have depleted over time and needs to be replenished as the lining is exposed and poses a tripping hazard

During today's visit, Licensing Officer observed the following: -name and telephone number of medical practitioner is not kept for 3 children -medical insurance plan number is not kept for 3 children -immunization status is not kept for 1 child

Observation. This issue of non-compliance remains outstanding. During today's visit, Licensing Officer observed 2 staff did not have documentation to support their certificate was verified using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry. The Manager validated the 2 Early Childhood Educator certificates during the visit and added the documentation to the staff files. With regards to the criminal record checks on file for 2 staff, Licensing Officer observed they are addressed to another facility.

The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

Observation. Licensing observed 2 children did not have medical practitioner information.
