  Observation. Licensing Officer observed medication on site for two children; however, there were no completed Request for Administration of Medication forms on file for either child.

  Furniture or equipment for sleeping is used by only one child at a time, is clean and comfortable, and is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it. [CCLR Sec. 15(2)]

  Observation. In the classroom space, Licensing Officer observed that the children's nap cots, along with the children’s bedding, were stacked on top of one another which poses a risk of cross contamination.

  Care plans are not reviewed at least once a year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent. [CCLR Sec. 58(2)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed that a care plan for one child does not appear to have been reviewed since August 2024. There was no evidence to indicate that the required annual review with the child’s parent had been completed.

  Observation. Licensing observed there were two children's records that did not indicate when the children were enrolled in the facility and one child who did not have a medical practitioner contact on file.

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the following when reviewing staff records: - one staff does not have the CRC record on file - one staff's work history is not in the file - one staff does not have a first aid certificate on file.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that there were heavy items stored in the cupboards above the children's cubbies.

  Observation. When reviewing the updated policies, Licensing observed areas that needed to be adjusted due to the legislation

  Observation. Licensee observed that staff certificates had not been verified by the licensee, there were two staff without their immunization included in their file.
