- PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / EnvironmentNon-critical
The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. LO observed the following areas requiring addressing with a plan by above date and a long term plan to ensure ongoing compliance. This includes - step stools in bathrooms required deep cleaning or replacement, latches on cupboards are broken and should be taken off or replaced (as long as there are no hazardous items accessible to children within these cupboard, latches may not be required), chips and marks on walls required repair and /or deep cleaning and carpets are torn at edges with curling that could be a tripping hazard, but they are also showing staining which means they cannot be appropriately cleaned. The flooring in one room appears to be peeling and shifting which does not allow for cleaning and sanitizing. This is also causing the floor to slightly bubble in front of the sink area.
- PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Play Area, Materials and EquipmentNon-critical
The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]
Observation. April 14, 2026 - LO observed that there equipment stored beside the outdoor storage. The tunnel (noted below) continues to be used to block off the ramp for children to access. In case of emergency, this is a hazard and cannot be blocked. This is not the appropriate or safe way to use this equipment. If there are safety concerns, these areas should be either closed off with fencing or a gate installed. October 15, 2026 - LO is aware that the facility has been adding equipment to allow for more in-depth play. Today, LO observed that there are broken toys stored beside the outdoor storage with a small table used to close this off from children, there is also another playground that is using a plastic tunnel to close of the ramp area. This is not the appropriate or safe way to use this equipment. If there are safety concerns, these areas should be either closed off with fencing or a gate installed.

The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]
