    Observation. LO observed the following: - 1 child did not have a Request for Administration of Medication form - 1 child's emergency records regarding allergies differed from their registration records. Discussion took place to ensure all records are current and reflect the same information on all records. - 1 child had 2 epi-pens with 1 being expired. In an event of an emergency, it may not be clear which epi-pen to administer. Discussion took place to return expired medication to parent(s).

    Observation. LO observed information on the food and drink given to children is not being made available to parents.

    All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

    Observation. LO observed: - limited outdoor play materials available to children. Manager stated toys are put away in an enclosed storage shed and are taken out when children ask for what they want to play with. Discussion took place to have play materials accessible to children. - sandbox was covered with a tarp. Manager stated the tarp has holes which may prevent the sandbox from being free from hazards therefore it is closed. Manager further stated a new cover will be added sometime in Spring. Discussion took place on providing a temporary solution in the meantime until a permanent solution is provided sometime next year.

    Observation. This was originally found out of compliance on the previous Routine Inspection dated December 4, 2024: - 1 staff did not have a valid criminal record check

    Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

    Observation. LO reviewed all staff records: - 2 staff did not have evidence that they complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs. - 4 staff did not have character references while 3 staff had only 1 character reference.
