    Observation. The issue of non-compliance remains outstanding. During today's visit, LO observed no evidence that a fire drill was practiced for the month of January. The facility fire drill log sheet was unavailable for review.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. In the dramatic play area, LO observed a child sized leather arm chair that is no longer in good repair as there is a hole in the seat cushion exposing the foam material.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. During the visit, LO observed 2 adult sized leather arm chairs that appear to be in poor repair. The color on the chairs is fading and discolored in several areas. In addition the leather on the seat base of one chair is cracking and there is a tear along the seam exposing the inner material. Manager advised that there is a plan in place to dispose of the chairs and look for replacements.

    There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

    Observation. LO observed that the fire extinguisher in the classroom space and the kitchen space require servicing. Manager stated that the fire extinguisher's were serviced in the Fall however an updated service tag was not provided. Discussion took place with regards to having updated service tags for each serviced fire extinguisher.
