- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. the following physical areas of the facilityare in need of repair. the manager stated that there is a plan currently inplace to get the area mentioned repaired.
Corrective action. the window sills in all rooms the paint is peeling, some of the floors have peeling paint , the cubbieis in the osc room some need to be secured, the change mat has a hole in the end making the change mat difficult to maintain sanitization,

Observation. There were multiple care plans that were not reviewed annually with the parent or any person requested to by the parent.
Corrective action. The manager said she will get updated care plans from the families.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed that 3 plastic baskets used to store children's toys were torn. The staff patched the tears during the inspection. The Manager also advised that she will be ordering new ones.
Corrective action. Please ensure equipment used by the children are in good repair.

A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation. There was no record of last years emergency evacuation plan. The Manager advised that it was practiced.
Corrective action. Please ensure a record is kept for the yearly emergency plan.
13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation. Licensing reviewed children's files and observed that record of immunization status was missing for one child.
Corrective action. Please obtain records of the children's immunization statuses prior to their start date.

- STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation. Licensing reviewed 3 staff files and observed that record of immunization status was missing for one staff. This is a repeat contravention as a this coded item was identified on the last routine inspection report.
Corrective action. Please obtain, from each staff prior to hiring, a record demonstrating that they comply with the Province's immunization and T.B control programs.
