    Observation. There was no record of last months fire drill. The Manager advised that it was practiced.

    Corrective action. The Manager advised she will ensure that she keeps a record of the fire drills.

    A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

    Observation. The children's blankets were stored together. The Manager advised that the typical practice is to store the blankets in individual baskets.

    Corrective action. Please ensure separate storage for children's bedding to mitigate transfer of germs.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. In the outdoor play space, thorns were accessible to the children. Part of the bush grew approximately a foot over the fence and a branch hung down at the children's level. The concern is that children can run into it if they were playing in that area.

    Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment at all times while children are in care.
