    A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

    Observation. Licensing observed there is bleach water and lysol wipes accessible to children in the infant/toddler program.

    Corrective action. The staff said they will move the products to ensure they are no longer accessible to children.

    Corrective action. The manager said she remembers doing the drill but it wasn't logged.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): At the time of the inspection there was a t.v cord hanging down at the children's level in a room where the children were playing. A staff member was present. The Manager advised that the cord is typically behind a shelf and this was addressed at the time of the inspection.

    Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment at all times while children are in care.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. The following was observed: > Two plastic floor lamps over 5 feet tall in the 30 months to school age play area.The concern is that the lamps can fall on a child if pushed as they are light and easy to move. > Protruding nail inside the top of one of the wooden posts attached to the playground structure. The nail is within children's reach. This was temporarily addressed during the inspection.

    Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment while children are in care.

One of the staff member had a CRC completed through the RCMP and another staff member had a CRC from their previous place of employment.
