  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (g) any notification of a parent, emergency contact or medical health officer made under section 55 [notification of illness or injury].

  Observation. Multiple incident log books did not have record of parent notification.

• A licensee must keep current records for each child showing (a) the information set out in subsection (2), (b) if applicable, the information and agreements set out in subsections (2.1) and (2.2), and (c) the consents referred to in subsection (3).

  Observation. A child's file did not contain current information about a food allergy.

  Corrective action. The manager will update the child's file with the required information.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. A couple of rooms had chipped paint on sections of the walls that were at children's levels.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the facility is in good repair.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. Criminal Record Check on file for one staff is not site specific.

  Corrective action. Please initiate the sharing process.

  Observation. Licensing observed exposed drywall at the children's levels in multiple under 36 months programs.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the facility is in good repair.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 4 staff files and observed that the criminal record check (CRC) clearance letter was not referenced to the daycare.

  Corrective action. Please ensure CRC's are referenced to the facility.
