A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): For the month of November 2025, the fire drill was not recorded. The facility manager said that the fire drill for that month was practiced and completed with the children.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Licensing observed the following: - Soiled diaper placed on the bathroom counter sink in a plastic bag. (This was corrected by the facility and thrown in the bin during the inspection). - Tissue used to dry children's hands as explained to Licensing. (Wet tissue can easily tear off. The facility said that an order has been placed for paper towels that will be used to dry hands).
Corrective action. Ensure a healthy and safe environment at all times

Observation. Licensing observed that one child was missing their medical number on-file. This is a repeat contravention on routine inspection report #: CGEE-CXVTDG 24/Nov/2023.
Corrective action. Ensure that the file is complete.
19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Licensing observed files and one child was missing the phone number of the doctor, and the emergency contact for one other child. This item was previously contravened on routine inspection report #: CGEE-CCBP75 07/Mar/2022.
Corrective action. Ensure that the files are complete.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation. Licensing observed that all four CRC's were expired in 2024. This item was previously contravened on inspection report #: CGEE-CCBP75 07/Mar/2022.
Corrective action. Ensure that all CRCs are renewed.

Observation. The licensee's children were in care today & there were no files for them.
Corrective action. All requirements of s.57 are required by children's 1st day of care.

Corrective action. A CRC from the BCMJ's CRRP is required by employees' 1st day of employment. The licensee stated that she applied for the employee's CRC a few weeks ago. In the meantime, the employee can't work alone w/ children or assist w/ diapering/toileting.
