- POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. The fire extinguisher required servicing by 16-Apr-2025. This is a repeat contravention on routine inspection report #CGEE-CF2MB6 02-Jun-2022.
Corrective action. Fire extinguishers must be serviced by the date indicated on the service tag. During the inspection, the facility called to have it serviced.

Observation. Licensing observed that for the months of May and June 2024, the date which the monthly fire drills were completed were not logged. The facility manager said that the drills were completed with the children, though not recorded.
Corrective action. Ensure to record when the monthly fire drills were conducted with children.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

Corrective action. The licensee tied the cord up to make it inaccessible to children.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Observation. The 2 slides in the outdoor play area lacked 6' of clearance @ the bottom of each slide.
Corrective action. Use zones are the safety zones under & around equipment (generally extending ≥ 6' in all directions) to allow for proper use of the equipment, w/ adequate space for entering & exiting.
