Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One substitute staff who has an ECE working today did not have the certificate posted on-site. This is a repeat contravention on routine inspection report #CGEE-CGSQZE on 29/Jul/2022.
Corrective action. Certificates are to be posted conspicuously by the employee's 1st day of employment.

A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. The following were observed: - It was communicated to Licensing that the emergency supplies are not taken out with staff and children when emergency drills are practiced. (This is a repeat contravention on routine inspection report #MZIN-D9HRQ8 on 27/Sep/2024). - Fire extinguishers all had a service due date of 25-02-22 (Y-M-D). The manager said that the fire extinguishers were recently serviced.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two children in the same program were observed to be not signed in on the attendance sheet today.
Corrective action. Ensure that the arrival and departure times of children are noted daily.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry.
