Observation. One staff file does not contain verification of the individual’s certificate through the system established by the Director of the Early Childhood Educator Registry. Verification of a certificate ensures that the employee holds the appropriate qualifications and training required to provide care for children. Provide confirmation, with supporting evidence, by March 23, 2026, that the employee’s certificate has been verified through the Early Childhood Educator Registry system.

Observation. One staff file does not contain character references or documentation of the individual’s work history. A person must not be employed in a facility unless the manager is satisfied that the individual is of good character and has the personality, ability, and temperament necessary to work with children, as well as the training and experience required to carry out the duties of caring for children. Provide confirmation, with supporting documentation, by March 23, 2026, that this employee file has been completed and includes the required character references and work history.
