- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. - Fence panels on the patio side of the yard are loose and leaning. The licensee advised the posts have come loose and need to be repaired. - Wood retaining wall around the sandbox is rotting and has split, causing the wood to stick out. - The railing leading from the children's play area to the grass is loose and in need of stabilization.
Corrective action. The licensee advised all items will be repaired.
11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Fire Extinguisher has not been serviced annually
Corrective action. Licensee advised she will have the fire extinguisher serviced.
13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation. No record of the yearly emergency evacuation drill available.
Corrective action. Licensee advised it was practiced and she will ensure she records the emergency drills moving forward.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (k) the date on which the child stops attending the community care facility.
Observation. No record of the date children stopped attending.
Corrective action. Licensee said she will document the date moving forward.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. During the inspection of the outdoor facility licensing observed the following: - when entering the facility the post holding the gate secure was wobbly and in need of repair or replacement - when pushing on the fence to verify stability of the fence (the fence located near the vegetable garden) was observed that the fence posts were wobbly and will need to be replaced or repaired The licensee expressed concern regarding the fence posts and brought the issue to the licensing officer's attention.
Corrective action. Licensee said that they are in the process of getting some quotes and will look into replacing the fence posts.

Observation. During the routine inspection it was observed that the fire drill for March and April was not performed.

Observation. Upon review of the attendance records, specific arrival and departure dates had not been recorded for any child in attendance for the week of May 30- June 3, 2022.
Corrective action. Please ensure arrival and departure times are recorded.
