  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Upon inspection, the change pad used to change children's diapers had rips in it, causing it to not be able to be sanitized adequately. The licensee advised she will purchase a new one.

    Corrective action. Ensure the change pad is in good repair.

  • MEDICATION

    A licensee must do all of the following: (b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote (i) the health, safety and dignity of persons in care,

    Observation. Upon inspection two medications for a child were expired in 2024. The licensee advised she will ask the parent for new medication.

    Corrective action. Ensure the medication for children has not expired.
