A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

Observation. The food in the emergency supplies had past the best before date. There were no additional supplies in the emergency bin to respond to an emergency

Corrective action. The manager said she will purchase additional food and supplies for the emergency evacuation kit.

Observation. Certificates of educator or assistant were not posted in the facility.

Observation. Educator and assistant certificates were not verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry

Observation. Immunization status was not obtained for one or more employees.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. Licensing reviewed 7 children's files and one child's file was missing an emergency contact person.

Corrective action. Manager will speak to the family and ask them to provide an emergency contact person.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.

Observation. Licensing reviewed 7 children's files and two children's files were missing a photograph or digital image of the child.

Corrective action. Manager said that she has ordered the photos but forgot to pick them up. She will pick up the photos and add them to the children's files as soon as possible.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. Upon inspection of the outside facility and the play space the following was observed: - green garden hose was laying in the play area and was a tripping hazard - one iron rod measuring approximately 2 feet was laying on the ground.

Corrective action. Please ensure you provide a healthy and safe environment.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. During inspection 8 children's files were reviewed and the following was observed: - one child's file was missing a doctor's name and phone number - one child's file had N/A written in the place of the doctor's name and phone number.

Corrective action. Please ensure all children's files are complete.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. During inspection 8 children's files were reviewed. One child's file was missing an MSP number. Licensee said that she has asked the guardian of the child to provide the MSP number but the number has not yet been provided.

Corrective action. Please ensure all children's files are complete.
