    Observation. Licensing reviewed two care plans with emergency medication, one medication had an expiry date of November 2024.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): LO observed and discussed with staff about ensuring that shaving creams stored within the cupboard are out of reach of children.

    Corrective action. Please ensure that children are provided with a healthy and safe environment at all times while in care.

    Observation. Facility's policies and procedures were reviewed; Reportable Incident Policy was not available onsite for review at the time of the inspection.

    Corrective action. Please ensure that all records are kept in a single place within the facility.

  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the facility baseboard heaters that were accessible to the children were very hot to the touch. Discussed with the Manager who stated that the heating is generally turned off at the start of Preschool. They do hold residual heat and the heater is located in a designated play area.

    Corrective action. Please ensure that a safe environment is provided at all times.

    Observation. On review of child records, Licensing observed that 2 care plans had not been annually reviewed and 1 was miossing a date of preparation.

    Corrective action. Please ensure all care plans are up to date.

    Corrective action. Please ensure all renewals and returning staff have their certificates validated through the Registry.
