Observation. Licensing has not received the lab results from the recent radon gas test.

Observation. C7.1L - One wooden pallet/fence panel near the carport gate has a large sharp screw protruding from the top left corner. Two wooden pallets/fence panels leaning up against the tree in the back yard are not secured and could cause injury to a child if pulled on.

Observation. C1.1A - The outdoor play area on the premises requires maintenance, has been made inaccessible and is not being used at this time. The Licensee stated that local parks are frequently used for outdoor play. Children are often transported in the Licensee's vehicle to and from regular or daily outdoor play areas or other activities, located outside the property boundaries. The original licence application stated children would be playing on the premises and a transportation safety plan was submitted for walks to and from a neighborhood school for school drop off and pick up times. Due to the changes with children attending regular or daily outdoor play areas or activities located off the premises, written notification is required, including an off-site play area plan and transportation safety plan as per Schedule B (6) & (7) of the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

Observation. C4.1D - A log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events is not currently being retained. C4.1E - The Licensee is in the process of updating children's records and creating emergency cards. At the time of inspection, some records were missing immunization status, photos, medical insurance number, medical practitioner's name & phone number.

Observation. C7.1L - The laundry room gate was not in place during the inspection and a curtain was drawn across the entrance as a visual barrier to children. This area contains cleaning supplies and other items not intended for children and must be made inaccessible during hours of operation.
