C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical
Observation. An expired licence is displayed. The most recent licence was issued on 28-Apr-2021 which reflects the following: Mezzanine A (left side) located in the gym building- 25 children Mezzanine B (right side) located in the gym building- 25 children Classroom # 14 located in the school building- 17 children Post the licence in both the Mezzanine area (gym building) as well as classroom number #14 (school building).

Observation. No radon results have been provided to Licensing.
C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical
Observation. During the inspection, the manager stated the children in the Mezzanine, (two groups of 24 children) only use the two washrooms located directly below the programs. Each of these washrooms contain one toilet and one sink. The use of the two additional washrooms, located at the entrance to the gym, are not used. These two additional washrooms also contain one toilet and one sink each. The lack of access to sufficient number of toilets and sinks is a reoccurring contravention and was noted on the May 15, 2018 routine inspection report. In response to that contravention, a detailed washroom plan, dated 26-Jun-2018, was submitted to Licensing and the issue was resolved. Today, the manager also mentioned the children in the school only use the one toilet and sink located directly in the room. That program has 17 children which requires two toilets and two sinks. Develop and implement a system that ensures employees are aware and following the policies and procedures regarding the care of the children.
C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical
Observation. The manager stated children who require EpiPen's store them in their backpacks. The backpacks are accessible to other children. Develop a process that ensures children do not have access to an object that may be hazardous to their health or safety.
