Requirement of the Child Care Licensing Regulation is to keep current records for each child in case of an emergency or illness. Submit to licensing by November 25, 2025, written confirmation and evidence the child's file is complete.

Observation. There are three people over 12 years of age who reside in the home, and do not hold criminal record checks. Ensure completed criminal record checks are obtained from the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP)

Observation. The Licensee does not have a system in place to ensure compliance with submitting Reportable Incidents. Licensing's review of the daily log shows the Licensee did not submit Reportable Incidents in the form and manner as required by Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR). The Licensee has not been keeping a record of minor accidents, illnesses , or unexpected events as required by the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

Observation. Soiled diapers were not being placed in a covered container, potentially giving children access to soiled diapers.

Observation. The system to ensure a healthy and safe environment is ineffective. Licensing observed dog feces that was accessible to children in the outdoor play space. The outdoor play climber did not have the recommended fall zone of 6 feet, posing a potential risk of injury.

Observation. -Some child records are missing name and phone number of medical practitioner. -One child's file is missing information on illness and medical disability. -There is no record of special instruction respecting the child's diet. -There is no record of any person who is not permitted access to the child. -One child's medication record is missing the specific dosage and time to be administered. -Care plans for children requiring additional support have not been developed.

Observation. Licensing noted diapering supplies on an outdoor swing. Licensee stated that in warmer weather she uses the swing area for diapering and uses hand sanitizer for hand washing. Licensing discussed the requirement for running water for handwashing.
- C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical
Observation. -Bleach and water sanitizing solution is reported to be replaced every 2 days. A new solution needs to be prepared each day. -Bathroom sink is unsafe. Sections of the sink have exposed sharp, rusted metal. Tape has been used to cover some of the cracks. The tape edges are lifting and appear to be catching debris. The sink cannot be properly cleaned and poses a risk for injury. - Diaper change pad is ripped and needs to be replaced. - Outdoor stairs leading to deck are accessible to children. A plastic chain is currently being used as a visual barrier for children, but does not stop access. Licensee indicates there was a gate on the stairs until the summer of 2021. Stairs need to be made inaccessible. - Cupboard to hot water tank closet is unlocked and accessible to children. Licensee indicates that the door had a latch prior to work being completed in June 2021. - Lawn mower and some gardening tools are accessible to children in outdoor play area.

Observation. - One child's file is missing written authorization from parent for emergency medication.
