- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. - The play room door which contains small windows of glass is broken in two areas. The glass is currently being taped down however it is unsafe for the children in care and Licensee. - The oven which is occasionally used for activities for the children is no longer working.
Corrective action. Submit a corrective action plan.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The following items were accessible to children in the bathroom: - Great Value Disinfectant wipes - Hydrogen Peroxide - Dettol - Nail polish remover The Licensee moved these objects to a higher shelf.
Corrective action. Ensure children do not have access to substances that may be hazardous.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - MEDICATION
If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (b) readily accessible to employees.
Observation. Emergency medication was not available for a child.
Corrective action. Ensure emergency medication is readily avaialble for children that require it.
16020 - CCLR s.53(1)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation. A selection of children's files were reviewed. Out of the 7 reviewed, 6 did not contain enrolment dates. This is noted as a repeat contravention.
Corrective action. Ensure children's files are complete.
19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. A selection of children's files were reviewed. Out of the 7 reviewed, 3 did not contain information for a doctor or walk in clinic.
Corrective action. Ensure children's files are complete.

The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. The care plan was not reviewed annually with the parent or any person requested to by the parent.
Corrective action. Ensure care plans are reviewed annually.

Observation. A selection of children's files were reviewed. Out of the 7 reviewed, 3 did not contain immunization status. This is noted as a repeat contravention.

Observation. A review of several months of daily attendance records showed that each child in attendance was recorded each day but several of the months did not have the time of arrival and departure recorded.
