  Observation. A random selection of children's files were reviewed. Out of the 6 reviewed, 2 did not contain care plans.

  Corrective action. Ensure care plans are created in consultant with the parents.

  Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): LO observed and discussed the following with the Manager: Children from both GCC ( 30 months and SA) and GCC ( School Age) were combined in one single group in one classroom.

  Corrective action. Ensure that children from different service types are divided into appropriate groups as per Sch E of CCLR.

• MEDICATION

  If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child's parent or in the child's record or care plan.

  Observation. Staff has indicated that asthma medication has been administered to a child but there was no administration record of medication given to a child. There was also no written directions specified by the parents or care plan regarding the administration of this medication,

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. During inspection of the girls washroom it was found that the metal heater located below the paper towel receptacle is rusting and requires repair.

  Corrective action. Ensure the metal heater is repaired.
