A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. The following items were noted at the time of inspection: -Bleach spray bottles were not labelled (CORRECTED at the time of inspection) -Wood logs located within the outdoor play area are very slippery from algae and can act as a slipping hazard. Manager stated that they ask the children to not go on them during the wet season. However, discussed that additional measures will be required.

Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention (i.e. logs) noted above on or before December 18, 2025

If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child's parent or in the child's record or care plan.

Observation. Licensing observed there was no administration record of medication given to a child from August 27 to present

Corrective action. Ensure all medication administered to children is recorded.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A selection of staff files were reviewed, out of the 6 reviewed, 1 file did not have verified references. The Manager corrected this on site.

Corrective action. Ensure all character references are verified.
