    A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

    Observation. LO observed and discussed the following with the Manager: - children are assigned 1 cotton towel per day to dry their hands. - children did not wash their hands before snack time.

    Corrective action. Ensure that single used towels are available to dry hands after hand washing. Children should frequently wash their hands during the day, e.g. before meal time, after diaper change, when visible dirty, etc...

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing observed a newly constructed sandbox in the outdoor play area. The sandbox was placed close to the fence. Beyond the fence is a drop off. This could present a potential hazard. Please provide active supervision in this area until this is corrected.

    Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times to the children in care.

    Observation. Licensing observed two loose cords inside the washroom. These could present a potential hazard. One phone cord was removed during the inspection.
