A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

Observation. The manager explained that the emergency drill was practiced in Jun/2026; however, there was no record of it.

Corrective action. Emergency drills must be documented upon completion.

The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

Observation. A child's care plan was last reviewed (signed/dated) by their parent in Sep/2021.

Corrective action. Care plans must be reviewed (signed/dated) by their parent annually.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): CCFL reviewed 8 children's files & found that 1 lacked his enrolment date.

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. Two couches in the school-age program room have multiple rips on them. The couches are not in good repair and the ribs make it difficult to clean.

Corrective action. The Manager will explore how she can replace or repair the coach to ensure it is in good repair.

A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate, or a copy of the certificate, of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.

Observation. Certificates of educators or assistants were not displayed.

Corrective action. The Manager said she will post staffs’ certificates.

Observation. A fire drill record observed. The Manager confirmed fire drills were done for the month of October and November, but they were not recorded.

Corrective action. The Manager said she will ensure she record down fire drill after each practice.

A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are (b) located so as not to block or hamper an exit in the case of fire or other emergency.

Observation. During the inspection furniture and equipment was observed partially blocking the emergency exits in both rooms.

Corrective action. Please ensure furniture and equipment are not placed in front of or close to an emergency exit as this can block the exit in an emergency

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. Licensing observed the following in the indoor play area: -Two power bars were plugged into an outlet. Several outlets were missing outlet covers. This is a repeat contravention from inspection #CLAN-CM62BS, #CLAN-BHHPGV and #CLAN-CB2UZN -Several outlet covers were missing -A blind cord was not secured and was hanging at the children's level. This could cause a potential hazard.

Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times to the children in care.

A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

Observation. During the inspection Licensing observed the CCF License and the Manager's name were not posted in the facility

Corrective action. Please ensure the CCF License and Manager's name are posted in a prominent place.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. The children's records were reviewed. One child was missing a record of immunization

Corrective action. Please ensure children's records are complete.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. The following was observed during the inspection: -A power bar with exposed outlets was plugged into the outlet. Exposed outlets is a repeat contravention from inspections #CLAN-CB2UZN and #CLAN-BHHPGV. -A TV on a rolling cart was not anchored. Please provide active supervision until this is completed.

Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. Licensing observed that one of the couches had ripped fabric and the foam on the couch was exposed. This is a repeat contravention from inspection # CLAN-CB2UZN

Corrective action. Please ensure the furniture in the facility is in good repair.

Observation. Licensing observed that the fire drill was not recorded for the month of August. In discussion with the Manager she stated the fire drill was practiced but was not recorded.

Corrective action. Please ensure to record the fire drills after completing them.

Observation. Six children's records were reviewed. One children's record was missing a date of enrollment. This is a repeat contravention from inspection # CLAN-BHHPGV.

Corrective action. Please ensure children's records are complete.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. Six children's records were reviewed. One child's record was missing an emergency contact. This is a repeat contravention from inspection #CLAN-BHHPGV. Two children's records were missing a medical practitioners name and phone number.

Corrective action. Please ensure children's records are complete.

The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

Observation. The care plan was not reviewed annually with the parent or any person requested to by the parent. The date the care plan was reviewed was written as 2019. This is a repeat contravention from inspection #CLAN-BHHPGV.

Corrective action. Please ensure care plans are reviewed on an annual basis to comply with the legislation and that this is signed and dated.

A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are (a) of sturdy and safe construction, easy to clean and free from hazards.

Observation. Rust was observed in the overflow drains in the washroom. These were also sharp. Two garbage cans in the washroom were showing signs of rust. This can poses a potential health hazard. In discussion with the Manager she stated she had cleaned the rust. The Licensing Officer and the Manager discussed other options for treating rust. This is a repeat contravention from inspection #CLAN-BR6TE5 and #CLAN-BHHPGV.

Corrective action. Please ensure children do not have access to any objects or substances that are harmful to their health and safety.

Observation. The following was observed during the inspection: -A power bar with exposed outlets was plugged into the outlet -An iron was placed on a high shelf. The cord was hanging down. This was corrected during the inspection.

Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. The following was observed at the inspection: -One of the couches had sections that were covered in duct tape. In discussion with the Manager she stated that these were to repair holes in the fabric -The lock on the emergency supply cabinet was broken and one of the handles was falling off -Paint chips were observed throughout the classroom - Two holes in the wall

Corrective action. Please ensure the furniture and the facility are in good repair.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

Observation. During the inspection licensing observed the attendance records. At 8:50 AM the attendance showed that 12 of the children had been signed out with a departure time of 9:00 AM. The children were still present in the room at 8:50 AM although they were recorded on the attendance records as departed. The importance of keeping accurate records was discussed with the Manager.

Corrective action. Please ensure attendance records are accurate and completed after children's departure.

Observation. Six children's records of twenty-one were reviewed. One child is missing their immunization status in their record.

Corrective action. Please ensure children's records are complete.

Observation. During the inspection a rusty tap and sharp and rusty drain was observed in the washroom. This could cause a potential health hazard. This is a repeat contravention from inspection # CLAN-BHHPGV

Corrective action. Please ensure the facility is free from hazards.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.

Observation. During the inspection 6 children's records were reviewed. Three children's records were missing a photograph.

Corrective action. Please ensure children's records are complete.

Observation. During the inspection six children's records were reviewed. One children's record was missing a date of enrolment. This was corrected during the inspection.
