Observation. The licensee's family member is staying in this home for another week.

A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. The hot water temperature was measured. The temperature was 50.5 degrees Celsius. Please provide active supervision in this area until this is corrected.
Corrective action. Please ensure any hot water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49 degrees Celsius

Observation. During the inspection Lysol wipes were observed on the counter in the washroom. This is a repeat contravention from inspection #CLAN-CCCREA. This was corrected during the inspection.

Observation. The record of fire drills was reviewed. One drill was not recorded for the month of January. In discussion the Licensee stated she has recorded the drill but cannot find the record. .
Corrective action. Please ensure fire drills are recorded when completed and it is available for review.

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Licensing observed that several pieces of the plastic tile flooring had puncture marks. This could be difficult to clean and potentially harbour bacteria.
Corrective action. Please ensure the facility and equipment are in good repair.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. During the inspection Licensing observed that only one bottle of bleach and water was being used for cleaning the tables and the diaper mat. To reduce the potential for cross contamination two bottles of bleach and water were recommended.
