A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. - One of the outlet covers is missing in the nap room - Children's bedsheets are touching each other when stored in the closet. Children's blankets are stored in separate bags. - The kitchen counter is cluttered and there is no workspace for food preparation. This is a repeated contravention to inspection #WBET-D5QR6D. - Paper towels that children used to dry their hands after using the bathroom were left on the counter instead of disposing them into a container with lid. - Recycling items are stored in one of the sinks.
Corrective action. Licensee will ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. - Rust was observed on the storage cart that is within reach from children. - One of the bikes is missing the rubber handles and sharp metals are exposed. Rust was also observed on the bike

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. Attendance records between January - April 2026 were reviewed. Children's absences were not recorded on those record. During inspection, only three of the five children were signed in.
Corrective action. License will ensure to keep an accurate record to show children's attendance and absence.
19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Nine children's files were reviewed, and three of them are missing an emergency contact, and two of them had their parents as their emergency contact. This is a repeated contraventions to inspection #WBET-DGDNGL.
Corrective action. Licensee will ensure that there is an emergency contact for each child that is not the legal guardian

Observation. The backyard fence is unstable on the east side of the yard and is propped up with a wooden post.
Corrective action. The Licensee needs to ensure that the fence is stable and either repaired or replaced.

Observation. Bar soap is being used on a cloth to clean the bathroom. This does not sanitize the surface. Cloths hanging in the kitchen that are used to wipe children's faces are not laundered daily basis.
Corrective action. The Licensee will ensure that a solution that sanitizes is used to clean the bathroom and that all cloths are washed daily

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. The following were observed: -The kitchen counter is cluttered and there is no workspace for food preparation. Items stored on the counter pose a tipping hazard. -Two cloths hanging in the bathroom are used by more than one child. This is repeat noncompliance. -There are no bottles of sanitizing solution in the facility to clean and sanitize equipment and high touch areas. -Items of soiled clothing were in the bathroom sink.
Corrective action. The manager will declutter the kitchen counter, remove the cloths that are being used by more than one child, ensure there is a bottle of bleach/water solution in the facility and remove the soiled clothing from the sink.

Observation. Foam is exposed on the seat of a high chair making it difficult to sanitize.
Corrective action. The manager will make sure there is no exposed foam on the high chair.

A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Bottles of water and several food items in the emergency kit supplies had expired. Food for emergencies is being stored in a kitchen cupboard with no way of taking it out of the facility in an emergency.
Corrective action. The manager will add food and water to the emergency kit and will make sure these items have a current expiry date. All of the emergency supplies will be kept in a container that is easy to take out of the facility in the case of an evacuation.

Observation. Files for seven children were reviewed. Contact information for a doctor or medical clinic was not available in two files.
Corrective action. The manager will make sure the required information is in all children's files.

Observation. Areas of drywall are exposed throughout the facility. This is repeat noncompliance and was noted on routine inspection #WBET-CF5S9G dated June 6, 2023.
Corrective action. Please ensure children do not have access to drywall.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Cloths that are hanging in the bathroom are used by more than one child to dry hands. This i repeat noncompliance and was noted on routine inspection #WBET-CF5S9G dated June 6, 2022. Cloths hanging by the kitchen sink that are used to clean children's faces are not laundered on a daily basis. Children's toothbrushes are being stored so that they touch each other. The three sink dishwashing method is not being followed.
Corrective action. Single use cloths must be used to dry hands and cloths in the kitchen must be laundered on a daily basis. If the dishwasher is not used all dishes must be washed, rinsed, sanitized and air dried. Each child's toothbrush must be stored separately.

Corrective action. To ensure safe storage of food please ensure the fridge temperature is between 0-4c.

Observation. The following were observed and discussed with the manager: - All outdoor toys and ride on equipment need cleaning. - Broken plastic bin with sharp edges (pink) within the toy shelving unit needs to be replaced or removed.
Corrective action. Please ensure that all indoor and outdoor furnitures are clean and in good repair while children are in care.

The following were observed and discussed with the manager today: - Cleaning spray bottles: there were no spray bottles( cleaners) available within the facility to sanitize and clean the equipment and high touched surfaces, e.g. table, chairs, toys, counters, change mats, etc... - Changing Pad: facility has a portable folding changing pad for daily diapering use. LO discussed/ suggested to consider other type of changing pad for diapering; for better support, comfort and anti-bacterial surface for proper sanitization.
Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided to children at all times while in care.
