- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. The following was observed in the outdoor playground area: - The ground next to the shed was uneven caused by the tree root. Manager had already put in a request to the landlord to fix the issue - Artificial grass is not secure to the ground near the green slide.
Corrective action. Manager will put up a fence to temporary close off the area with uneven ground and will ensure that the artificial grass is secure to the ground.
11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
The licensee must (a) develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. Care plan not developed in consultation with the parent or any person requested by the parent. Manager explained that the child's allergy was not medically confirmed.
Corrective action. Manager will ensure that a care plan for the child's potential allergy is developed with the parent or any parent requested by the parent.

Observation. One play house in the outdoor area had broken walls and the other play house had a broken roof.
Corrective action. The manager said the houses will be removed

If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (b) readily accessible to employees.
Observation. Medication required by a care plan for one child not on site.
Corrective action. The manager said that medication on a care plan will be available.
16020 - CCLR s.53(1)(b) - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. The emergency kit did not have enough food and water for the children for 72 hours. Some supplies were expired
