A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Some food supplies in the emergency kit have passed their expiry date.
Corrective action. The manger will ensure that all food in the emergency kit has a current expiry date.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation. RCMP criminal record checks have been obtained for the manager and a family member. Criminal record checks must be obtained through the CCRP program in Victoria BC.
Corrective action. The manager will apply for criminal record checks through the CRRP.
