• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. - A sample of the children's registration and emergency information records were reviewed. Some emergency information records for the children did not list an emergency contact other than the parents. In the event that the parents of the child cannot be reached, an additional emergency contact must be listed in the child's record. *Correct by: June 9, 2025.* The daily attendance records, minor incident log, daily outdoor play space inspection log, etc. were also reviewed and they were complete and up to date.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. - Expired antiseptic wipes for wound care were found in the first aid kits. In order to provide adequate first aid to the children in care when needed, non-expired supplies must be readily available. *Correct by: June 9, 2025.*

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. - The criminal record check for a person living in the home and who is over the age of 12 years was expired and required renewal. A valid criminal record check from the Criminal Records Review Program in Victoria must be obtained before the person is permitted to be on the premises of the facility when the children are present. *Corrective action must be taken by: June 4, 2025.*

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. • The LO observed a cherry tomato plant in the outside play space that was accessible to children. The tomatoes on this plant were a choking hazard especially to children under the age of 36 months.

  Observation. It appears the system in place to ensure the children's files are complete is ineffective. Some child records were missing required information such as date of enrolment, doctor/clinic contacts, immunization status, and other identifying features of the child to be used in the event of an emergency. A child requiring a care plan did not have a care plan as required by the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

  Observation. - Some child records were missing required information such as care card numbers, doctor/clinic contacts, immunization status, and other identifying features of the child to be used in the event of an emergency. Other record keeping systems were reviewed by Licensing and they appeared satisfactory.
