  Observation. Not all employees are practicing the fire drill monthly. All employees are required to practice the fire drill at least monthly. Submit by March 19, 2026, confirmation that the fire drill will be practiced by all employees monthly.

  Observation. Character reference checks for one employee have been conducted; however, the reference checks are not available to be reviewed. Character reference checks for all employees must be kept in a single location at the facility. Submit by March 19, 2026, confirmation that the missing character reference checks are at the facility.

• C7.2 - Is there adequate and appropriate indoor and outdoor space, materials, and equipment?Critical

  Observation. The Licensing Officer observed a rusting bucket in children's outdoor play space. Ensure the outdoor play space is free from hazard and materials are in good repair.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. The Licensing Officer observed a tear in the diaper change mat which makes it difficult to clean. Ensure facility equipment is easy to clean and free from hazard.

  Observation. The Licensing Officer observed incomplete children's records including missing immunization status, name and telephone number of medical practitioner and medical insurance plan number. Ensure children's records are kept complete.

  Observation. Staff files do not contain evidence of verification of certification through the ECE Registry.

  Observation. There is no care plan on file for one child who has been identified as requiring additional support.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. The diaper changing surface has an absorbent fabric cover which is not able to be properly cleaned or sanitized between uses.

• Has the facility been tested for radon gas?Non-critical

  Observation. Testing is currently being conducted at the facility.

  Observation. There is no record of the annual emergency plan being practiced by all employees in 2019. As per the Active Play Standards a written Active Play/Screen time policy is required to be in place and provided to parents.

  Observation. The Licensee records minor incidents in HiMama; however upon request the Licensee could not find an example of a minor incident completed. There were no daily, monthly, or annual inspection logs being completed for the outdoor play spaces.
