Observation. Licensing observed sleep cots stacked on top of each other, resulting in the bedding to touch one another.

Observation. Licensing observed several children to be missing immunization status, and one child missing medical practitioner information. Facility has transitioned into an electronic system for children's records, which can sometimes be missing information that is available in the main files at the office. Licensing recommends transferring all required information from the main files at the head office, to the files accessed by Educators at the facility in order to provide consistency.

Observation. *2 easels in the outdoor play yard were observed to be swollen with water damage and black mould.

Observation. *The art sink was completely clogged on both sides and full of standing water during today's visit. *A set of string lights near the bleacher area are not secured to the wall where they plug into the outlet. *A lamp with a long cord underneath the inside loft has been secured with clear tape however it is starting to come loose. *There is no resilient padding in the fall zone beneath the inside loft ladder.

Observation. *The outdoor play yard is scheduled for renovation this spring, however CCFL observed some immediate hazards that need attention: -A log next to the artificial turf has a long knot that has emerged from the eroding wood creating a possible fall or puncture hazard. -The wood in the log barrier around the trellis area has eroded revealing long pieces of rebar creating a possible fall or puncture hazard. -The wood in the log barrier around the garden near the gate has eroded revealing sharp pieces of rebar. -There is a collection of wooden logs with exposed rebar stacked up in one of the garden beds.

Observation. *Licensing observed that a toilet stall was locked during today's inspection. Only two toilets were observed to be available to the children. Licensing was informed that staff are using the toilet but will also allow the children to access this toilet when necessary, staff will open it for them. A Licensee must have one accessible toilet for every ten children or fewer as required.

Observation. *Licensing observed a TV located in the main play area. Licensing was informed that Educators will turn on the TV for art activities for only 30 minutes a day throughout the week. As a screen use policy was not available, Licensing requests a copy of the policy outlining screen use in the facility.

Observation. *Fridge temperature= 0'C- good! *Licensing observed a large mirror located in a upper loft area in the main room. The glass on the mirror is not shatter proof. This poses a risk of injury. *Licensing observed an unsecured cupboard below a fish tank that was accessible to the children. In the cupboard Licensing observed fish tank supplies, cords, and water treatment chemicals.

This poses a risk of entanglement. *Licensing observed a large metal shovel on the side of the outdoor play area. This poses a risk of injury. *Licensing observed a large hose loosely wrapped around a play gas service station. This poses a risk of entanglement. *Licensing observed that the play structure in the outside play area was heavily covered in green algae and dirt.
