    Observation. Licensing observed that several pieces of information were missing from 2 children's files. Facility has transitioned into an electronic system for children's records, which can sometimes be missing information that is available in the main files at the office. Licensing recommends transferring all required information from the main files at the head office, to the files accessed by Educators at the facility in order to provide consistency.

    Observation. Licensing observed a foam strip placed along the edge of the changing table for the purpose of softening hard edges. The foam strip is peeling, and breaking pieces are coming off. This item is no longer in good repair or easy to clean.

    Observation. *A. loose and unsecured cord from a hepa filter was observed in the nap room which poses risk of entanglement. *The diapering mat is showing signs of wear on the corners and edging creating a porous surface that is no longer easy to clean.

    Observation. *The window sills in the main room are beginning to show wear. CCFL observed chipped paint and moisture during today's visit.

    Equipment, furniture and supplies are located so as not to block or hamper exits in the case of fire or other emergency. [CCLR Sec. 15(1)(b)]

    Observation. *The fire exit from the nap room was partially blocked by sleeping equipment.

    The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

    Observation. *During today's visit, it was quite rainy and CCFL observed a very large and deep puddle in the playground. The Manager reports that the drain beneath is blocked. *The earth around the slide has become visibly eroded and the slide is beginning to come free on some edges.
