    Observation. One railing post located between two trees (opposite the play hut) was loose and no longer secure in place causing the railing to be unstable. Screws were sticking out from the railing behind the post.

    Observation. On February 5, 2025, Licensing observed chipped drywall in several places in the L'Chaim room. On March 10, 2025 the manager informed licensing repairs will be made by the weekend.

On February 5, 2025, Licensing observed the following in the Gan Aviv outdoor play space: - The metal wire underneath the concrete walkway was exposed with sharp edging as the wood chips had eroded. - The railing at the top of the concrete ramp was wobbly as one post was rotten at the ground. - One fence post besides the blue tunnel was rotten and wobbly. On March 10, 2025 the manager informed licensing that these items will be addressed during the Easter break.

    Observation. The out of school care program uses the preschool playground. The preschool playground was not inspected during this inspection, but was inspected on January 26, 2024 during which the following items were identified that need to be addressed. 1) Slippery wood surfaces with algae growth, particularly the platform on top of the slide, wood table by the exit gate to the parking lot, 4 x 4 edging. 2) Sharp screw ends protruding from a post located on the upper level between two trees. 3) Sharp metal wire ends protruding from underneath the cement ramp. 4) Loose handrail at the top of the cement ramp beside the exit gate. 5) A loose fence section with a rotten post located by the tree and blue tunnel. 6) A rotten 4 x 4 by the cement ramp. 7) Loose upright post at the top of the slide on the left side.

    Observation. The preschool room is used for one of the school age groups. Licensing observed the following on the preschool playground that needs to be addressed: 1) Rotten climbing wall boards. One of the rotten boards, located at the top of the wall contained a foot support that is starting to become loose. 2) Loose wooden boards located at the bottom of the shed. 3) A loose railing located at the top of the cement ramp by the exit door to the parkade. 4) A splintered wooden top board located on the railing adjacent to the cement ramp. One of the wood stumps located by the sand box is showing signs of rotting due to aging and wear and tear. It is recommended to monitor this area and target for future replacement.

    Observation. Licensing observed three vinyl easy chairs. Due to wear and tear over time the vinyl had come off on the arm rests and on a large section of on one of the headrests. This poses a sanitizing challenge.
