  Observation. Two staff members did not have verification of the Early Childhood Educator and Early Childhood Educator Assistant certificates on file.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Some of the tables have chipped or loose veneer in the corners and sides, exposing the particle board underneath.

  All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

  Observation. The outdoor playhouse had a wood trellis railing with exposed nails. The trellis is at the end of its lifespan as it is broken in places and no longer holds the slats in place.

  Current policies and procedures that are intended to guide employees in the care and supervision of children are not kept.   Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. Two children have allergies listed on their forms, and require Epi-pens. The Epi-pens were available at the facility but there was no Allergy Action Plan completed and posted for these children. One child has Asthma and carries a puffer for treatment. There is no Asthma Care plan on site.
