  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: *water leaking from the ceiling. *several areas of the log steppers with post appeared to be damaged and were cordoned off. The program manager explained that the plan is in place to address the items noted above. A follow up inspection will be scheduled when the work is complete.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. *Licensing was unable to review a care plan for a child requiring an epi-pen. Discussed obtaining the care plan as soon as possible. *Licensing and the program manager further discussed keeping a copy of each child's care plan with their emergency consent cards. Also, please ensure all staff members including a volunteer have the opportunities to review the care plans (both behavioural and medical) to promote consistency when meeting the individual needs of the children.

  Behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of each child. [CCLR Sec.51(1)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing observed documented in the communication book that an Educator had picked up a child and brought the child to another area to discuss an incident that had occurred. Physically redirecting a child by picking them up and and moving them to another location is a contravention to CCLR Section 51(1) (a).
