    Observation. Licensing observed the wooden stumps showing signs of decay and rot. This could pose as a safety hazard.

    Furniture or equipment for sleeping is used by only one child at a time, is clean and comfortable, and is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it. [CCLR Sec. 15(2)]

    Observation. When Licensing arrived in the morning the children's beds were already set out in the main activity space. The beds were taking up usable space and blocked children's access to the area and the materials. Some of the bedding was touching.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the yellow and red wooden playhouse was in bad repair. Some of the wood was rotten and splintering and some of the wood was coming away from the roof exposing the staples underneath. The Manager stated that someone had come to do some repairs on the playhouse. Licensing had a discussion with the Manger in regards to removing the playhouse if it can not be repaired.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the program did not have care plans for children requiring extra support, this includes children that have allergies.

    Observation. Upon review of children's files, Licensing observed that not all children's files were complete.

    Observation. Upon review of children's files, Licensing observed that a child had an allergy to peanuts. When Licensing asked one of the staff about this, the staff did not know that this child had an allergy to peanuts.

Licensing observed the following in the two out door play spaces: *some of the rubber tile on the roof of the yellow/red/green playhouse was torn and coming away from the roof *there were also nails exposed *the green/red/tan plastic climbing structure was broken in some places leaving sharp pieces of plastic exposed *some of the wood was rotting on the yellow/red playhouse

    Observation. Licensing observed that a child had a life threatening allergy care plan, however the care plan was not completed. It did not contain where the medication was stored or the expiry date of the medication.

    Observation. Licensing observed that one child's file did not contain an emergency card, or photo of the child. Another child's file did not contain immunization status.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the staff files on site were not complete. The Manager emailed some documents to Licensing however the email did not contain all of the required documents as per Section 19 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation.
