  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. The outdoor space is equipped and organized, however, LO observed that there is a shed where the paint is peeling and must be addressed as this could be a hazard.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. Children's files were reviewed, most are completed, with a few missing date of enrollment. One child has the immunization status form signed that says record is attached, but no record is in the file. The emergency cards that staff use when off site are not completed, with many missing emergency contact information (other than parent).

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. Staff Files were reviewed and are missing references and immunization status.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. LO observed a child in care who requires extra support does not have a care plan.
