Observation. The facility's radon gas levels are not compliant with the 200 Bq/m3 limit. A mitigation plan has been started. A new radon test must be conducted for a minimum of 91 days during the winter months, and new radon test results will be required after the winter months.

Observation. Play space inspections had been conducted, but had not been recorded for the past week. A new system for record the inspection was implemented during the inspection. This item has been corrected.

Observation. The hot water that is accessible to children in the bathroom measured above 49 degrees Celsius, creating a potential risk for burns. A method of ensuring that the water temperature is below 49 degrees is required.

Observation. The size of the group was observed to be appropriate during the inspection, however attendance records, and the presence of the Licensee's own children, indicate that there are often 4 children under the age of 36 months. The Licensee has been made aware of the regulation of group size and ages of children in care, and must develop a plan of compliance by the follow up date indicated above.

Observation. Attendance records and registration forms have not been kept for the Licensee's own children. All children in the facility must have the required information on file.

Observation. Facility is in its first winter and has not received a radon gas test result at this time. Please forward test results to Licensing upon receipt.

Observation. Fire drill practice records were observed to be missing for the months of September and October. Licensee explained current system for ensuring fire drills are practiced monthly, during the inspection. This item is considered corrected. Records will be reviewed for completeness during future inspections.
